My wife and I had tried last year to visit Bubblecake on Crystal Springs Ave. near the hospital. We found it closed with no cupcakes in sight.
Tomorrow we are celebrating the birthday of our youngest daughter. We decided to take cupcakes instead of baking a cake or buying one at the grocery store. I am glad we made the decision because we got to visit Bubblecake early this morning when there was a large selection of cupcakes.
I knew that this was something that could not be rushed so I let my wife take her time and think about the right cupcakes to take. While I was waiting for her to come up with twelve different cupcakes, we got to hear a couple of regular customers talk about their favorite cupcakes. The red velvet one received a lot of praise.
I picked a berry cupcake for personal pick, and my wife came up with lots of other choices. We split the berry cupcake and an outrageous chocolate one for lunch. I thought the berry one with the plain but delicious yellow cake was the tastier of the two. Still both were very good, and I am looking forward to having another one during tomorrow's celebration.
Seeing a successful cupcake shop makes me think there is still lots of hope and success left in this country.
I am also pretty sure that Bubblecake has a cupcake to solve almost any problem you might have to confront.
I have a feeling this might be a great gift for a wife that has had a tough day. I know it works for me.
I think it's high time that The Cupcake got the applause it deserves. Wouldn't it be scrumptious to have a cupcake shop on the island? Thinking and pondering and analyzing, oh my!
