For four and one half years, I have been writing pretty much what I felt like writing here on these pages. There is everything from restaurant reviews to fishing stories and recipes. I enjoy writing about all those things.
Times change, and what we can get done in day seems to shrink rapidly. I am writing another blog, Crystal Coast Living, for pay. That takes time, and keeping my web sites up to date for potential real estate customers also takes a chunk of time.
It also seems that we have less time and money to chase down new restaurants and movies. Just this last week I started giving seminars on different computer topics. I did it to meet some new people and explore some different ideas. It has turned out to be very successful. I will be doing lots more.
There are plenty of people out there who have computers which are not doing nearly as much for them as they could be. People want their computers to do certain things, and they have trouble accomplishing that. I am pretty good at bending computers to my will.
View from the mountain has always had something of a technical tangent so there will likely be a few more computer or technology related articles. Twitter and YouTube are huge now. How many people know how to use them or any other social networking effectively in their businesses.
I hope to post more articles which talk about using technology to make your life easier and better. Technology will not take over the blog, but you will find it discussed a little more frequently.
I enjoy talking about Roanoke and Coastal North Carolina far too much to give it up completely. I also expect to continue with some weather and travel articles. Those are just part of my nature.
Things will change slightly, but I hope the turn I am making is for the better.
View from the Mountain-a very nice blog. The pictures are beautiful. Growing up in a mountain state, I can appreciate the beauty.
