It looks like Roanoke might have missed the freezing weather at least according to Kevin's weather blog.
Here on the coast it is always a pleasure to miss a storm.
I had much rather walk a calm beach than one that have been torn up by waves.
Our weather in Cape Carteret is flirting between clouds and sunshine. We had more rain last night so I think we are in pretty good shape for moisture.
I am more excited about the sprigs of green grass that are starting to show. There is not a single bone in my body that is interested in seeing one last winter storm.
Actually the thermometer at the house is already at 70 degrees, but I suspect it is cooler over by the beach.
I will take the warm weather and make no complaints.
If the clouds do not turn into thunderstorms, perhaps we can go for a hike this afternoon and get some good sunset pictures.
The cloudy weather did let me get some work done on the web this morning.
I got a new site on Squidoo. My new Carolina Coast page was about the easiest one and most informative that I have ever created.
I will have to make a point of thanking my buddy Stephen for having the article with the link in it to Squidoo in his Google reader shared items.
I will be writing more about Squidoo in the future.
David, we spent a couple of summer vacations down at Pine Knolls Shores.....what a Beautiful area! We visited Emerald Isle a lot during those weeks. Your writing takes me back there....and reminds me what a beatiful area this is. A Wonderful place for retiring or a second career.

The area is a great place to retire. Yesterday we saw some cherry trees starting to bloom. What a great idea, cherry trees in February.
February has always been a tough month for me, so seeing green sprigs of grass and cattails along with some blooming trees keeps me focused on the spring ahead.
Thanks for the comment. Come back for a visit.
