You never know what you will find on View from the Mountain.
It could be a nice discussion of Linux, some weather thoughts, a movie review, or an article on the best chicken noodle soup.
I will not drag this out. The weather has been cold on the coast.
Maybe I should say cold for the coast since we only saw twenty degrees Fahrenheit for a few hours this morning.
It has been great chicken noodle soup weather.
I have tried most of the canned brands and several of the dried ones including Alessi Sicilian Chicken Noodle soup which I fixed up because of their wonderful bean soups. The Alessi isn't classic chicken noodle soup so it is not my favorite.
I also tried Bear Creek Chicken Noodle Soup. I thought it was a little peppery. My oldest daughter loves Lipton's Chicken Noodle Soup while my wife likes Campell's Double Noodle. Neither of those do the trick for me.
Of course when my wife makes her homemade chicken noodle soup, it is really hard to beat. The recipe is a lot like this "The best chicken noodle soup ever?" recipe over at Slashfood.
Given that I would have to beg and do other undignified things to get homemade chicken noodle soup, I have anointed Wyler's Mrs. Grass Homestyle Chicken Noodle as the best you can buy. Add a little canned chicken, and you have a meal fit for a king or at least a very cold day.
I have a few almost political thoughts over at my Ocracokewaves Blogspot.
