The morning shower has already made the weathermen truth tellers since they were calling for a 100% chance of rain today. We certainly need it. This morning it looks like the Virginia Creeper is finally getting serious about growing. As you can see from the photo to the right, our Poplar trees are well on their way to getting their mature leaves.
The leaves on spring trees get to maturity a lot faster that electorates do. Perhaps we should spend more time on making certain that our kids learn how to tell it the government is taking them to cleaners. A Washington Post article, "Anger at Bush May Hurt GOP At Polls," tells us the 47% of voters "strongly disapprove of Bush compared to only 20% who express a strong approval for the way the President is doing his job.
To me the numbers just don't add up, according to another Post article, "Tax Gimmickry," we have some more tax cuts for the wealthy coming. So if all these tax cuts are aimed mostly at the top 1% of the population, how can we still have 20% of the people still strongly in the President's corner. Certainly they couldn't be applauding the foreign policy of the administration. Domestic policy results are also nothing to rave about. So what have these 20% of the people seen to allow them to strongly approve of the President? Maybe you can fool some of the people all the time.
