Your comments about the "blaming" in business fits just as well in education. Unfortunately we seem to have entered a phase where instead of encouraging creative risk taking, regardless of success or failure, we're expecting our students to "get it right" the first time. The whole "standardized" testing movement supports this thinking. When I think of kids learning what they learn about technology, most of that learning comes from their experimentation at home and with friends. Even with teachers who feel that their job evaluation is based upon how well their kids score on tests severely limits their desire to be more creative in the classroom. Great observations David.
