Have to agree with your analysis. The most recent evidence (in my view) is the lack of updated Macbook Pro models for the back-to-school season and on the lack-of-innovation front (again looking at their laptops), buyers have two choices:

- ssd: fast but not enough space
- hdd: slow and enough space

There's no innovation in blending the two (except on iMac) to provide the best of both worlds unlike other manufacturers. SSD just isn't coming down in price fast enough for those of us with kids and lots of pictures and movie clips to store...

All very good points. I have never been fond of Apple or their products, but I used to have more trouble convincing their users to join the dark side of Android and Windows.
They really seem to be losing their place as leaders of innovation.
