Only the Redbuds along Interstate 81 outnumber the trucks. On my daily commute to Blacksburg, I found the highway unusually busy even for Interstate 81.
In spite of all the trucks, this is one nicest times to travel 81. The contrast between the trees just getting light green leaves and the purple-pink blooms of the Redbud is just what you need to announce that spring is here.
On my way home from work, I saw Tulips blooming in Salem. Unfortunately there wasn't a good place to take a picture, but I will get one soon. Salem does a grand job of keeping beautiful flowers in the medians of their main entrance roads.
