Well I am now back to where I was four weeks ago. My phone works, both incoming and outgoing calls.
After installing the Tiger OS X upgrade I was able to sync with my computer and get my contacts over to the phone, and this morning after a few unsuccessful tries I was able to pair my Nokia 6620 with my Acura MDX so I can make and receive hands-free calls.
Last night I full-filled my promise to Glenda. We text messaged some American Idol votes. I then spent the next hour or some setting up e-mail so that it would work on the phone. I set up a spare Verizon e-mail account as my phone e-mail account. I also took a picture of Glenda and our cat Malarky cuddled up on the sofa and sent it to her.
I could do all those things on the last phone, but it seems much easier on this one. The e-mail certainly works better.
Other than the slightly smaller text on the phone's screen, I guess I am now a happy camper with my phone transition. One more important thing is to keep the manual handy, I definitely needed it to get the phone and the car to pair using Bluetooth.
