The Big Apple Questions

If Apple goes to Intel will Microsoft continue to be fully committed to Microsoft Office?  It would be hard for them to back away from their current public statement, but it would be fairly easy to keep the features from being at parity.

How will current Apple customers react to be "switched" to the Intel platform?  A significant part of the Apple mystique has always been being on a better processor family.

Also will OS X ever run on other vendors Intel hardware?   There was a recurring internal rumor a couple of years ago that Apple and Dell were in negotiations over the Intel version of OS X.

It is interesting that this is all coming at time when "Dell Computers unveils new desktop computer" which supposedly is a premium model. You would have to assume that the premium end of the Intel market is where Apple products would sit.

It should be interesting to see if the ZDNet rumor pans out and how it changes the computing landscape.
